Deep are the roots of Hyowonians. A Symbol of Hyowonian, the Humanities Building and Rainbow Gate(Former Main Gate) stayed firm for decades. So did the democracy of Korea.

During the Bu-Ma Democratic Protest in October 1979, Hyowonians marched to the heart of Busan through Rainbow gate. That led Korea to the new era of Democracy.
